CONGRESS HISTORY
Every two years, as of 1992, the
International Centre for Heritage Preservation has organized
its International Conference to serve as a showcase for the
cooperation in training, research and development which has
taken place in Latin America and Europe, where experts in
the field of Preservation and rehabilitation of Built
Heritage meet to share their know-how. Since the keynote is
international cooperation, the venue of the conference
alternates yearly between Latin America and Europe.
The first conference was celebrated in the Canary Islands in
1992 when the International Centre for Heritage Preservation
was set up thus affording a physical headquarters and point
of coincidence in Spain between Europe and Latin America.

The 1994 conference was held in Argentina. The innovation
here was that the conference was spread over various
different venues, allowing for international seminars to be
held in various provinces.
Apart from the conference sessions in Mar de Plata, seminars
were organised in Córdoba, Salta, Misiones, Buenos Aires and
Chubut (Patagonia).The 1996 conference was held in Granada.
The promoters of the event, the University, Board of
Andalusia and other institutions made it possible for this
historic city to host the third International Conference in
Rehabilitation of Architectural Heritage and Building.
In 1998, the International Conference was held in Havana
(Cuba) and was sponsored by the Official Historian of the
City of Havana Offices, by CICOP (Cuba) and various
Universities and Government Institutions in the magnificent
convent of San Francisco en the old quarter of La Havana
In the year 2000, the Italian CICOP was responsible for the
organisation of the event in Florence.
In the year 2002, the International Conference was held
again in Latin America with Paraguay and Bolivia as the
organising countries.
In 2004, the International Conference was
held in Yaiza, a town of Lanzarote, Canary Islands (Spain).
In the year 2006 the International Congress was held again
in Argentina at two headquarters located in the cities of
Buenos Aires and Salta.

prepeg, impregnati in situ, ibridi): 1)
tecnologie di produzione, 2) tipologie (al
carbonio, kevlar, PAN, ecc.), 3) tecnologie
d'impiego per rinforzi di elementi strutturali in
c.a., muratura, legno 4) calcolo delle sezioni
placcate, 5) norme tecniche, 6) esempi.
Le reti polimeriche (stirate in una o più
direzioni): 1) tecnologie di produzione, 2)
tipologie (reti di polipropilene, polietilene,
ecc.), 3) tecnologie d'impiego per rinforzi di
elementi in c.a. e in muratura, 4) calcolo delle
sezioni placcate, 5) norme tecniche, 6) esempi.
